Watertight

We made tremendous progress on two major fronts at the Next Center this month. On the exterior of the building, windows were installed on the East elevation and waterproofing continues on the South and West. Over the orange waterproofing, we continue to install the “green girt” system, which will eventually hold the finished metal “skin” of the building. Those finish panels will start to be installed soon on the East side of the building. On the interior, “hanging and finishing” is the name of the game.  Gypsum wall board, better known as drywall, is being installed on all floors and finishing crews are following right behind. Rooms and spaces are taking on their final shapes. Soon, primer will cover the walls and finishes will start to be applied. Finally, the building received permanent electrical service this month, helping to power tools and lighting for the trade teams.
