Walls and Windows; Exterior Framing

If the structural steel is the skeleton of the building, light metal framing is the first part of the building’s skin. 40 foot long light gauge steel studs reach from the top of the foundation wall to the roof on the east and north walls of the new building.  On the south and west facades, future windows and openings can be seen and the architectural features of the building are starting to take shape. Soon, the steel studs will be covered in sheathing and waterproofing to start making the building watertight.

Other activities in March included the beginning of our roof system, the completion of concrete floor slabs and the installation of underground plumbing. Upcoming activities will include the framing of interior walls, exterior sheathing and masonry.  It should be an exciting April!
