November was all about foundations at the Next Center. The work was led by west Michigan based Proline Concrete Construction who did a great job with the small, but complex, foundation system of the building. The specific detail of the foundation walls essentially required two walls to be formed with rigid insulation sandwiched between them. The insulation layer is part of a continued barrier of insulation that will completely wrap the building and add to the energy efficiency of the project. We want to commend Proline for working safely and efficiently while contending with ongoing road construction and a very tight site. Proline will return to the project this winter for floor slabs.
