April Showers

Updated: May 7

Throughout March and early April, crews have been working to start weather proofing the building. A major component of this is, of course, the roof. Our roofing system at the Next Center is a membrane style roof, meaning a thick piece of rubber provides the water resistance of the roof. Under this membrane is insulation which is sloped to drain water towards internal roof drains.

Other work this month includes the start of framing internal walls. Visitors can now get a sense of the way the internal floor plan will lay out. We also installed the steel stairs in the north stairwell, giving our crews access to the upper floors without using ladders. Great progress is being made and the team remains on schedule!
