While progress continues on the exterior of the Next Center, there are exciting changes to the interior every day. The finish carpentry team from EV Construction is installing trim, cabinetry, and special architectural details on the first and second floors. These special touches include a tongue and groove wood veneer at the three-story elevator shaft, a wood screen wall at the second-floor kitchen and a built-in banquet at the Lakeshore Advantage offices. Other finish installation happening includes ceiling, “clouds” and vinyl wall coverings.
Over the next few weeks, we look forward to installing the elevator, finishing all final painting and installing carpet and vinyl plank flooring. Outside, work continues to install snowmelt and sidewalk pavers, matching the beautiful streetscape of downtown Holland. The finish line is near and we are excited to share this project with the community.
